Using Frustration to Move Ahead

Frustration is a sign. No matter what your experience and expertise, it's easy to get frustrated as you step out to accomplish new goals. Progress is frustrating as you attempt to take steps and make the right moves that will lead you to success.

Let frustration be your guide to moving forward, not a crutch to hold you back. Let frustration be the message telling you to do something, even just one thing. I am a firm believer that every thing you do moves you away from your current spot to a new spot. If you take steps all the time, you are moving forward.

Frustration is much better than depression. Let frustration be your friend. Take advantage of this new world of instant communication and ideas and use the frustration to identify one thing you can do today that will help you on with any goal you have now. Pick something you want to know more about or improve. One thing, please. Then, if your resources are tight, go to the nearest library and research. Check out a book, magazine, cd, or dvd about your current issue and open your mind to new information.

Get yourself a notebook and for each day, take a page and make some notes about how you are doing, what you are doing, and what results you are getting. Over a period of time , especially if you just keep working on your issues on day at a time, you'll be able to see how much progress you have made.

Taking action is something to be proud of and as you get results it will build your confidence and self-esteem and serve to help you move ahead.

Daily Success Log

Time is so precious, yet we all get 24 hours a day. There's so much to do and we get frustrated when we can't figure out exactly how to achieve the success we want. It doesn't matter what part of your life you want to be successful with. I learned a way to accomplish more and it's a simple plan I call the "Daily Success Log."

Start with a notebook and call it your "Daily Success Log." Open the notebook to the first page and put the current date at the top of the page. Decide to do at least one thing today towards your success. Write down what you do, who you talk to, and anything that will help you remember what task you completed on this day.

It's possible that on some days you will do many things. The most important step to being closer to achieving your goals at the end of 30,60, 90, 120 days, or a whole year is that you have taken steps every day. You tend to feel less frustrated when you know you're making progress.
By keeping track of the steps towards your success you also will have a diary of the process and you might just have the makings of a book about how you fulfilled your dreams.

Success truly is about what you do every day, not just once or twice a year. Imagine if you do complete a task, a phone call, or any steps for 365 days where you will be. It's much easier to take little steps and make great strides than expect to take one great leap and go all the way.
